High travel lift solutions are traditionally used to access elevated workspaces to safely transport equipment or goods over extended vertical areas. - Residential Parking Structure: One of our international customers was in the process of building a multi-story lakefront apartment complex when they encountered a significant issue. Due to the location, there was no room to construct traditional residential parking garages. The architects modified their design to address the problem by opting for two multiple-level garages placed inside the complex.
The Autoquip team responded with a high travel lift design using two nine-level vertical reciprocating conveyors (VRC). Each VRC leverages Mechanical 4 Post Freightlift technology, allowing them to stop at the exact floors in the garages. Vehicles are safely transported via the lifts’ 8,000-pound capacity and 756” floor to floor height.
- Cruise Ship Gangway: Cruise lines pride themselves on providing the ultimate vacation experience for their customers. Ensuring that passenger boarding and disembarking is safe and efficient is a primary concern. A major cruise line dealing with this issue reached out to Autoquip for a gangway system solution.
Mitigating the problem required minimizing the degree of slope to improve passenger access. Autoquip achieved the solution using a T3 High Travel Scissor Lift with a 60” range mounted to scaffolding. This lift is highly versatile and can be adjusted to accommodate low water levels.
