Lifting Chain Path & Termination

The lifting chain is routed up and over the lifting sprocket at the top of each mast beam. Then, one end of the lifting chain is connected to a chain adaptor at the top of the wheel guide assembly (which in turn is bolted to the carriage upright), and the other end of the chain is connected to the counterweight (which is then fed down the top of the counterweight tube). Both end connections, or terminations, are made using a master link assembly.
